The Clay County Fair & Events Center’s team includes 13 full-time staff members, 90 part-time and seasonal staff members, and nearly 400 Fair-time staff members.

Current opportunities include the following:

BARN ATTENDANTS | seasonal (as needed)
The Clay County Fair Association, Inc. is seeking barn attendants to assist with barn clean-out (manure removal and general cleaning) following livestock events at the Fair & Events Center.  Livestock events occur throughout the summer months, concluding with the Fair in September.

Attendants work on an “as needed” contract basis following events with work hours determined by attendants and Fair & Events Center staff.  Attendants can be individuals, non-profit groups (FFA Chapters, 4-H Clubs, saddle clubs, 4-H committees, etc.), or “for-profit” groups.

Fair & Events Center staff will provide equipment and supervision.

SOUS CHEF | year-round | part-time
Assist our Executive Chef and gain valuable experience working in our Blue Ribbon Catering operation

KITCHEN HELP | year-round | part-time
Primary responsibilities include dish washing and simple food preparation working in our Blue Ribbon Catering operation

MAINTENANCE/OPERATIONS ASSISTANTS | seasonal | full-time or part-time
Basic maintenance and service work such as building, grounds, and barn cleaning, landscaping and lawn maintenance, general maintenance, event set-up and tear-down; ability to drive/operate machinery a plus.

MECHANIC | seasonal | full-time or part-time
Experienced mechanic in engine repair; other responsibilities include basic maintenance and service work.

OFFICE ASSISTANT | seasonal (August 1-October 1) | full-time
Receptionist with excellent customer service and computer skills who can handle a fast-paced environment; must be able to work September 2-20 without any days off.
