Exciting Dirt Events at the 2024 Clay County Fair

Spencer, Iowa — The Grandstand will feature thrilling dirt events, including sprint cars, IMCA races, and tractor pulls. Join us at the Clay County Fair powered by SMU from September 7th – 15th.

Tuesday, September 10, kicks off the dirt events with the Battle of the Blue Ribbon, featuring the American Sprint Car Series and the Tri-State Late Models. Hot laps will begin at 7:00 pm, with racing to follow. Adult general admission tickets are $28, and child general admission (ages 12 and under) tickets are $10.

Racing continues the next night with the IMCA Blue Ribbon Showdown on Wednesday, September 11. Hot laps will start at 7:00 pm, and racing will follow. Adult general admission tickets are $18, and child general admission (ages 12 and under) tickets are $10. This will be the final night for IMCA class racing for the 2024 season at the Clay County Fair Speedway. IMCA classes include Stock Cars, Sports Mods, hobby Stocks, and Sport Compacts.

The Outlaw Truck & Tractor Pull will serve as the grand finale in the Grandstand on Sunday, September 15, beginning at 1:00 pm. Adult general admission tickets are $25, and child general admission (ages 12 and under) tickets are $10.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 21 at 10:00 am. Tickets will be available online at www.midwestix.com, by phone at 515-244-2771, or in person at the Events Center Box Office. All tickets, regardless of purchase location, are also subject to a handling and processing fee, which is not included in the advertised price.

About the Grandstand Bag checks are conducted at all Grandstand events. The following items will be prohibited: weapons/firearms, alcoholic beverages not provided by the Fair & Events Center, air horns/whistles or other noisemakers, helium-filled balloons, glitter/confetti, glass bottles, fireworks, and illegal substances.
