KANSAS to Rock Opening Night of 2024 Clay County Fair

Spencer, Iowa — The Clay County Fair powered by SMU announces KANSAS with special guest to be announced at a later date as part of the SRG Concert Series at the 2024 Clay County Fair on Saturday, September 7 at 7:30pm.

With a legendary career spanning five decades, KANSAS, has firmly established itself as one of America’s iconic class rock bands. Composing a catalogue that includes sixteen studio albums and five live albums, KANSAS has produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-Platinum albums, one platinum live album, one quadruple-Platinum single ‘Carry On Wayward Son,’ and another triple-Platinum single ‘Dust in the Wind.’ KANSAS appeared on the Billboard charts for over 200 weeks throughout the ‘70’s and ‘80’s and played to sold-out arenas and stadiums throughout North America, Europe and Japan. ‘Carry On Wayward Son’ continues to be one of the top five most played songs on classic rock radio, and ‘Dust In the Wind’ has been played on the radio more than three million times!

KANSAS boasts a lineup including original guitarist Richard Williams, bassist & vocalist Billy Greer, lead vocalist & keyboardist Ronnie Platt, keyboardist & vocalist Tom Brislin, violinist & guitarist Joe Deninzon, and original drummer Phil Ehart. Drummer Eric Holmquist is performing on drums while Phil Ehart continues to recover from a major heart attack. With no signs of slowing down, KANSAS continues to perform in front of large and enthusiastic audiences.

Ticket prices are $50 (Stage Front Standing), $55 (Reserved Premier Grandstand Seating), $45 (Reserved Grandstand Seating), $35 (General Admission Bleachers), and $235 “Carry On” VIP Photo Op Package (Reserved). Ticket prices do not include handling & processing fees.

All tickets, regardless of purchase location, are also subject to a handling & processing fee which is not included in the advertised price.

About the Grandstand Bag checks are conducted at all Grandstand events. The following items will be prohibited: weapons/firearms, alcoholic beverages not provided by the Fair & Events Center, air horns/whistles or other noisemakers, helium-filled balloons, glitter/confetti, glass bottles, fireworks and illegal substances.
