Clay County Fair announces Grandstand change
Spencer, Iowa — The Clay County Fair announces that Thompson Square (rather than Jimmie Allen) will be joining Parmalee as part of the SRG Concert Series at the 2023 Clay County Fair powered by SMU on Saturday, September 9 at 7:30pm.
Parmalee will be moving to the headliner position. The North Carolina natives had a legendary return to the top of the charts with their Platinum-certified #1 single with Blanco Brown, “Just the Way”, and their follow up single, “Take My Name” from their new album For You, which became a multi-week #1 hit.
Back on the road after a hiatus Thompson Square is excited to be back on stage. The husband and wife due found success with their debut album featuring Grammy nominated and double Platinum selling “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not” and “I Got You”. They hold multiple awards including two ACM Awards, two CMA Awards, one CMT Award and four ACA Awards and have nearly 1 billion collective steams. They have ten chart singles including “If I Didn’t Have You”, and “Everything I Shouldn’t Be Thinking About”.
