Discovery Stage & DIRECTV Midway Stage bring four great acts to the Fair

Spencer, Iowa — A science circus, fire tricks, and a magic show all about agriculture are just a few examples of the more than $180,000 in entertainment that will be offered FREE to fairgoers during the 2022 Clay County Fair powered by SMU, September 10-18.
This year’s Fair will offer four great acts on the Discovery Stage and the DIRECTV Midway Stage. The Discovery Stage is located between the Stables and Grandpa’s Barn, and the Midway Stage is located north of the Events Center. Each stage will bring two entertaining shows to the Fair.
Groovy Guy is one of the free shows offered on the DIRECTV Midway Stage, September 10-18. Over the past 25 years Guy has worked with some of the greatest modern performers of juggling, magic, mime, acrobatics and comedy, who instructed him both formally and informally in their various disciplines.
Also coming to the DIRECTV Midway stage is FireGuy, September 10-18. He is the world’s #1 fire entertainer and the Guinness World Record holder for eating the most torches in one minute. He has been performing for over twenty years at almost 100 times a year.
Returning to the Fair on the Discovery Stage is the Awesome Ag Magic Show, which focuses on how agriculture directly impacts our daily lives. While using his incredible talents in magic, storytelling, and balloons to help get his message across in a fun and entertaining way, Mike will delight and amaze audiences and leave them wanting to learn more, September 10-18.
Also coming to the Discovery Stage is Circus Science Spectacular, September 12-16. This innovative and entertaining educational offering uses the magical world of circus to teach concepts like forces and motion, simple machines, matter, air power, chemical reactions and more. Audiences of all ages alternate between laughter and amazement as science and circus combine.
