Livestock entry deadline approaching quickly for the 2021 Clay County Fair

Spencer, Iowa — The open class livestock entry deadline for the 2021 Clay County Fair powered by SMU, September 11-19, is rapidly approaching.

All entries for open class beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, sheep, and horses are due by midnight on Sunday, August 29.

Check out the exhibitor handbooks online at www.claycountyfair.com or pick one up at the Fair Administrative Offices to find the rules and guidelines to enter your livestock at the Fair. Pre-registration for all livestock departments with the exception of rabbits is mandatory and must be completed online, by mail, or in person by midnight on August 29.

Daily open class livestock shows are a highlight for many fairgoers with nearly 550 exhibitors showing over 3,000 head of livestock in 2019. In addition to the open classes, there are also several hundred 4-H and FFA exhibitors that show at the Fair.
