A continuous loop of the fairgrounds with 9 stops provided by the Royal & Peterson Lions Club ($1 per ride).
Scooter, Wheelchair and Wagon Rentals
Reservation Options: HomeTown Mobility is now accepting reservations online www.htmia.com or by calling 1-712-938-2029 (there is an additional $5.00 call in fee for all reservations done with a HTM rep over the phone) during our normal business hours of 9am-5pm Monday-Friday and 7 days a week 9am-5pm during the fair.
*Reservations will ONLY be accepted for Full Day Scooter and Wheelchair rentals and your reservation will be held until you arrive. Reservations need to be made 24 hours in advance. A valid driver’s license or state ID is required to be scanned for all rentals. Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance to receive a full refund, less a $5 cancellation fee per unit.

Single Stroller- $20
Double Stroller-$25
Walk-Up Customers: As always we hold a limited number of wheelchairs and scooters for walk-up customers on a first come first serve basis. HOWEVER, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to reserve a unit to ensure you have a rental for that day.
The Family Place
Home to the Red Cross during the Fair, the Family Place is a quiet place for little fairgoers to rest and includes a family/mother's area, changing stations and private breastfeeding areas.

Lost Person / Lost & Found / Chaplain Services
Visit the Security Office located on the west end of Grandstand.
Johnson Grocery
Pick up all the things you forgot at home, including sunscreen, diapers, batteries, sundry items, etc. Located south of the Tower Gate Pavilion.
Safety & Security
The top priority of the Clay County Fair is to provide a safe and clean environment for all of our fairgoers. To that end, Fair officials work constantly with local, state, and federal authorities to ensure fairgoer safety and well-being.
Please do your “Fair share” to keep everyone safe and healthy! If you see something, say something!
HEALTH PROTOCOLS
- Please stay home if you are sick, experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or have been recently exposed to COVID-19.
- Additional stations for frequent hand washing and hand sanitizing will be provided.
- Restrooms and high-touch surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
WEAPONS
No person other than authorized law enforcement personnel are allowed to bring a firearm or deadly weapon onto the Clay County Fairgrounds. Firearms are prohibited with or without a valid Iowa permit to carry.
PETS
No pets are allowed with the exception of Fair entries (livestock shows) or service dogs.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following items are prohibited from being carried into the Fair:
- Remote devices
- Drones
- Bikes
- Segways
- Skateboards
- Roller blades
- Hover boards
- Laser pointers
- Fireworks
- Illegal substances
SEARCHES
The Clay County Fair reserves the right to search all bags, backpacks, coolers, purses, containers etc. upon entry to the Clay County Fairgrounds and upon request while on the Clay County Fairgrounds.
The Fair will conduct bag checks and security screenings at selected Grandstand events during the Fair. Please allow additional time for those bag checks and screenings
Disability Assistance
Paved Handicapped Parking: Located in the Growmark FS North Lot. Accessibility carts will be running free of charge to assist visitors onto the grounds.
Disability Assistance Carts sponsored by Pivot Bio: Free golf cart shuttle service available throughout the Fair to assist disabled fairgoers.
