Two ‘High School Musical’ stars to perform at Clay County Fair

SPENCER, Iowa – Corbin Bleu a star of Disney’s High School Musical and High School Musical 2 and Drew Seeley, who co-starred with Bleu in the High School Musical: The Concert, will be appearing at the Clay County Fair, Sept. 13 – the final Saturday night of the Fair.

Corbin Bleu, who stars as “Chad Danforth” in the highly successful High School Musical series and has toured with the High School Musical: The Concert is also scheduled to appear in High School Musical 3 to be aired on the Disney Channel in 2008.

Bleu followed in his father’s footsteps and began appearing in television commercials at the age two, for products such as Life cereal, Bounty, Hasbro toys, and Nabisco. By the time he was four he was signed by the Ford Modeling Agency in New York, and appeared in print ads for stores such as Macy’s, Gap, Target, and Toys R Us.

Since 1996 Bleu has appeared on numerous television shows including ER, Catch That Kid, Hannah Montana and Jump In!

In 2007 Bleu starred, along with Drew Seeley in High School Musical: The Concert, which played in 40 U.S. cities.

Drew Seeley, who will appear with Corbin Bleu, co-starred in the High School Musical: The Concert and was the voice of several of the featured songs in the top selling High School Musical soundtrack. Seeley co-wrote “Getcha Head in the Game,” which is a part of Disney’s quadruple platinum High School Musical soundtrack. The song garnered an Emmy nomination in the Best Original Song and Lyrics category. In addition, Seeley co-starred in the North America and Latin America tours of High School Musical: The Concert playing in 60,000 seat arenas. His song and video “Dance with Me,” from the platinum Cheetah Girls 2 soundtrack, is seen on the Disney Channel.

The High School Musical soundtrack was recently the top album of the year, and was the first-ever TV movie soundtrack to make it to the top of Billboard's Top 200 chart.

The 2008 Clay County Fair will run from Saturday, September 6, to Sunday, September 14. Corbin Bleu/Drew Seeley performance tickets will be $25 for stage front standing, $20 for reserved grandstand seats and $15 for reserved annex seats. Sales will begin in late June.
